Quality Assurance
- As part of our commitment to CPD we require participants (members and non-members) to complete an evaluation of the online training and event they attended to access their CPD Certificate.
- The Dental Expert Witness Course is committed to providing an inclusive, safe and harassment free event for participants and speakers regardless of disability, race, gender identity, religion and any characteristics as outlined in The Equality Act 2010.
- The Dental Expert Witness Course does not tolerate harassment and discrimination in any form, this includes but is not limited to offensive or discriminatory verbal, written or visual images related to sex, race, religion, sexual orientation, disability, gender identity any protected characteristics as outlined in The Equality Act 2010 or inappropriate disruption of training and events (including heckling, interpreting speakers, protesting).
- Photographs, screenshots or livestream of the online event is not permitted.
- Unwanted physical contact, violence, sexual attention or innuendo or intimidation will not be permitted.
Verifiable CPD – Quality Assurance Controls Policy
Educational governance policy – The Dental Expert Witness Course was established with the aim of providing excellent quality legally-led teaching to dental professionals.
Advertising – All courses are detailed on the website with full aims, objectives and learning outcomes.
Equal Opportunities and Diversity – Delegates register and pay to attend courses using The Dental Expert Witness Course on line facility. The only requirement is that they are registered dental professionals as required by each course.
Attendance – Every course commences with registration and a signing-in sheet which is kept on file. This includes time of arrival and departure for each delegate so accurate CPD hours can be issued on the certificates.
Content Delivery – Most courses are run by two lecturers, which enables ongoing peer review to take place.
Programme – Provided to each participant and timings are adhered to, resulting in accurate allocation of CPD hours and demonstrating a clear relationship with the advertised course development outcomes.
Evaluation: Every participant is e-mailed following the course with a link to an on-line Evaluation Form. This is anonymous to allow for completely honest evaluations. These are reviewed post course and any issues raised are given due consideration by The Dental Expert Witness Course Team. The questions on the evaluation form also specifically allow for participant reflection on what they have learned during the course.
Complaints Procedure: Should a complaint be received this would be considered promptly by The Dental Expert Witness Course Team and the complainant would receive a response within 5 working days.
CPD certificates: Following completion of the on-line feedback, delegates are able to download their certificate. Certificates include:
Delegate Name & GDC Number
Date and venue of the course
Title of the course, plus aims, objectives and learning outcomes (with the appropriate Development Outcome code letter, A,B,C,D, appended as applicable, based on the GDC guidance)
Total hours of verifiable CPD
